Meet Our New Baby Girl....Zoe!

Our hearts were aching after losing our Precious three weeks ago.  She was so old, but we adored her.  Towards the end she could barely walk, could no longer jump up on the couch, and had trouble breathing.  The vet confirmed this and we said goodbye.

Precious will never be forgotten.

However, after three weeks of sadness we felt like nothing would heal our hearts better than a new baby kitten.

On 7/25,  Colton picked out our baby Zoe.

Welcome newest Arnold baby!

Zoe's first appointment with our vet!

She weighs 2.5 pounds and is 10 weeks old.

Jacob was assisting our vet tech.

My nephew Jacob was comforting her after they took her temperature.

Apparently, Zoe didn't like me taking pictures and started biting the wrist holder, LOL!

Getting Ready For CHALLENGE A!

Challenge A had it's first ever get-together today!  We went bowling, which allowed our moms and kids to get excited about the new and exciting school year!

It's going to be GOOD!

We missed those who are still on vacation and unable to be there.  Don't worry...... Logan, Terry, Cierra, and Katie, we'll love all over you on Challenge kick-off day!

This last picture is just for Lynn.  She was so sad to miss out on bowling and especially eating AT the bowling alley.  We just wanted you to know we were thinking of you!

Tampa Bay Homeschool Conference!

WOW!  The Tampa Bay Homeschool Conference was amazing!

My precious friend Lynn and I were asked to speak on behalf of Classical Conversations this past weekend at a local homeschool conference.  WOW!  We were blessed beyond belief.

Our room was packed with families hungry for more of HIM and more in their homeschools!  As we closed we were blessed by the testimonies they began sharing and the questions they began asking.

The truth is, this is not about Classical Conversations, it's about Christ restoring families!  CC puts mom and dad in the drivers seat of their home education.  It gives them the tools to be successful while never forgetting that ultimately the most important relationship is with their Savior!

Our talk had three main topics:

1- Learn how Classical Conversations helps homeschooling families walk out a strong christian education that teaches children not just "what" to learn but "how" to learn!

We talked about the beauty of teaching to skill sets rather than grade levels using the TRIVIUM!

2- Discover how you can begin preparing your children for college from the very beginning!  (And have FUN doing it!)

Walking closely with your Savior.
Keeping it simple (CC does this for mom)
Staying consistent (CC Community brings the accountbility)

3- Listen to an incredible testimony of how God redeems the education of entire families!

Talked about the testimonies of families entire educations being restored. (mine included)
Shared how God redeems our days!

But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." Isaiah 43: 18-19

Brain Quest SMART Game!

This game is a great fit for any family!  However, it goes perfectly with those walking with Classical Conversations because it covers a lot of the same areas we've studied.

Let me share!

Every player gets their own game piece with the word SMART.  Each letter stands for an area of study:

Science
Math
Arts
Reading
The World

Your child will then use the spinner piece to discover which area of study they are going to have to answer a question about.

You then pull the card that lines up with the area of study and choose the level question based on your child's skill set.  Let me just say this game can be very humbling for parents, as well as students! (smile)

If you get the answer correct you get a color-coded chip that correlates to the subject.  (ex: purple for science, blue for world) When you collect three chips you turn them in for a game piece that fills in your personal game piece.

The first one to completely fill in their personal game piece wins!

I love watching my boys compete against each other, and at the same time they cheer and encourage one another as well.

The days are long but the years are short!
Thank you Lord for giving us opportunities to stop, connect, laugh, and love!

Gearing Up For A Great School Year!

The picture above is of our latest information meeting.  We had three RSVP's and ended up with TWELVE in attendance!  It was the most amazing information meeting I've ever been a part of.
These families were hungry for a Christ-Centered community.  They are desiring a place where their children can receive an excellent education, while building strong relationships with friends their own age.  We were in total shock to watch almost every single family sign up that night.  We don't know what you're doing Lord, but we wait expectantly upon you!

Here are just a few of our new families!  We're so honored and excited to have them.

Our tutors were gearing up for an exciting new year!

We were so blessed to have him with us the past few weeks!  He is such a good boy.  Most of the time you didn't even know he was here.
