Daniel's God!

This week our children wrote a report on Daniel And The Lions Den.  I just so happen to be walking through Daniel 6 this morning as part of The Freedom Workshop and it blew me away. 

 

I am so inspired by this simple, courageous, practical man named Daniel.  His "friends" and fellow leaders set him up to fall.  They plotted evil against him.  Yet, Daniel loved God more than he loved man.  He loved God more than he loved his own life.  He worried more about what God thought about him then what anyone else might say about him. He never lost his focus and kept his eyes on God!

 

Then King Darius sent this message to the people of every race and nation and language throughout the world:  Peace and prosperity to you!  I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel.  For HE is a living God, and HE will endure forever!  His kingdom will NEVER be destroyed, and HIS rule will never end.  He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in heaven and on earth.  He has rescued Daniel from the power of the Lions.  Daniel 6:26-27

 

In the end, Daniel changed a Kings heart, and impacted a Nation!  This morning I am not only praying for myself and my family, but for all of us, for our nation.  I think of homeschooling and how we are presented with the big picture opportunity to change our nation!  We simply have to make sure we are modeling for them to love and trust their Lord with all their hearts and minds, and then equipping their minds with the tools to stand for TRUTH!  

 

Father, may we raise up more Daniels in this day and age where nothing seems to be sacred anymore.  May YOU be glorified, as our families chase after you with our whole hearts!
